Bring a Mechanism to the Layton Bench
Tell us what you are building and where it is stuck. A sketch, a rough model, or a single stubborn interference is enough to start a conversation. We answer every message with a real reply from a person who works the bench, usually within one business day.

Three Questions We Hear Often
What should I bring to a first review
Bring whatever already exists: a concept sketch, a rough model, a photo of the mechanism, the housing if it fits in a car, and the deadline that is driving the program. If a drawing already exists, bring it even if it is incomplete. The more real geometry we can see, the faster the review becomes useful.
Do you take small jobs
Yes. A single gear train layout or one tolerance stack study is a normal engagement, and it is often the best way to test how the studio works before committing to a longer program. We do not require a large package to open the bay door.
Can the team come to the studio for a fit week
The studio in Layton is a working bench, and clients are welcome to stand beside it during a fit week. Bring the first article, the marked print, and the questions that the build raised. We will schedule the window around your parts so the gauges and the hardware arrive together.
If the mechanism is already on the bench and the interference is already visible, call the studio directly and we will find a slot in the current fit window. Reach the Layton line at +18542678588.
